Ms. Harms is the Director of the Colorado School Safety Resource Center. She is a former public school teacher, private school administrator, psychotherapist and trainer with over 30 years of experience working with youth, professionals and parents in schools, private practice and victim serving agencies. Prior to relocating to Colorado, Christine was the co-coordinator of a suburban Philadelphia school safety center. She has trained professionals on such issues as violence prevention, school-based crisis response, emergency preparedness, trauma, sexual misconduct, suicide intervention, and threat assessment.Her under graduate degree is in psychology with a master's degree from Villanova University in Counseling and Human Relations. She has taught at the University of Northern Colorado. Before becoming the Director of the Colorado School Safety Resource Center in 2012, she served as the School Outreach Consultant for the Center starting in 2009. She is a certified in PREPaRE, ASIST and QPR, trained in Critical Incident Stress Management by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation as well as EMDR I and II certified.
